Castleroad Official Opening

On Monday, March 18th, 2024, history was made for Cork Camogie with the grand unveiling of the Castleroad building & Facilities. This landmark day was a testament to the unwavering vision, determination, and hard work of everyone involved.

Despite the challenging weather, the Cork Camogie community came together in high spirits to commemorate this monumental event. The heartfelt speeches resonated with gratitude for the collective effort behind the project, emphasizing the significance of having such a state-of-the-art facility as the new heart of Cork Camogie.

The festivities included a sumptuous meal befitting the occasion, accompanied by a spirited rendition of “The Banks Of My Own Lovely Lee” that ensured the indomitable spirit of the Rebels permeated Castleroad. Adding to the grandeur of the day, the O’Duffy Cup, held high by the reigning All Ireland Champions Cork, took pride of place.
